Hello Everyone,
I am new to this blog thing, but from what I hear it is a popular way of sharing your ideas and how to's on subjects in today's world.  I would like to thank you for visiting my site.
I would like to talk about the first steps I do after finding a object or bring one home for a garage sale.  I like to give each piece a nice CLEANING....    Of course the fun part is pulling out the drawers and searching for any lost treasure.  I have bought and found hundreds of pieces over the years and still have not hit the jackpot.  So far I have only found a check for $25 that was from 1998 that was never cashed, a gold chain, coins, some costume jewelery, and random articles of clothing.  Sometimes you come across some old love letters when you buy desks.
One of the best stories I have about finding something in a drawer was....  I painted this dresser white and distressed it and apparently did not check it over before I sent it out to the store.  The store owner calls to tell me it sold and the husband was going to come pick it up in the afternoon.  The husband comes to pick it up with his brother and they were taking out the drawers to make it light and to much their surprise was a gigantic bra that was a DOUBLE G hiding behind the drawer.  The store owner proceeded to call me and told me she was mortified, which turned into hysterical laughter.  From that day forward I always check the drawers before sending out the piece.
What is the best think you have ever found in a piece of furniture?
